Short answer
Remy positions itself as not a new calendar app but an AI assistant that adds things to the Apple Calendar you already use: chats, email confirmations, flight tickets and boarding passes, posters, timetables and handwritten notes become Apple Calendar events and reminders, you can create and update reminders in natural language, edit before saving, and the store lists 16 languages. SnapCal also writes events to the iPhone calendar but only handles event screenshots, one event each, with every field editable and optional Feishu Calendar sync. Need reminders and handwritten notes: Remy. Work calendar in Feishu and mostly Chinese notices: SnapCal. Third-party facts checked 2026-10-16.

When to pick Remy (screenshot to calendar)
- You want one tool for events and reminders, including natural-language reminders.
- Your sources include handwritten notes, paper posters and boarding passes that you photograph.
- You use Apple Calendar only and do not need Feishu.
When to pick SnapCal
- Your work calendar is Feishu and you want events written to both the iPhone calendar and Feishu Calendar.
- Your sources are mostly Chinese chats and notices from WeChat or Feishu and you want a plain screenshot-to-event flow.
- You want 10 free recognitions a month before deciding on a subscription or lifetime membership.
Limits of SnapCal
- One screenshot makes one event, so an image with several events has to be captured in several passes.
- The screenshot is compressed and sent to an AI service for recognition (not kept afterwards), so it is not purely on-device; on-device OCR is only for the preview and is never uploaded.
- iPhone only for now: no Mac or Android version.
Three things to test yourself before you commit
- Take 3 chat screenshots and 1 photo of a handwritten note and see what Remy and SnapCal each handle; SnapCal does not handle handwritten notes.
- Dictate a reminder to Remy in natural language and see whether it could replace your current Reminders flow.
- Decide whether you need Feishu Calendar; if you do, pick SnapCal.
Moving over from Remy (screenshot to calendar), or using both
Remy writes into Apple Calendar and Reminders, so what it already saved needs no migration. To switch to SnapCal, finish any unsaved items in Remy first, then install SnapCal and use the share sheet or Recent Screenshots for new event screenshots. Keep using Remy or Apple Reminders for reminder-type needs; the two coexist.
FAQ
How are Remy and SnapCal different?
Remy handles calendar events and reminders and also photos and natural language; SnapCal only turns the events in screenshots into calendar events and can sync to Feishu Calendar.

Can I use both?
Yes. Both write to Apple Calendar and do not conflict.
